Mayor Mitch Cain speaks to local Scouts about the local economy and how Scouts can make a difference in improving their communities.

Local BSA Troop 194 in Jefferson City is working on building a better community. Recently the Scouts asked the Mayor questions about the growth of Jefferson City, and how they can make a difference. A good discussion ensued with Mayor Cain saying “This is a great example of young people being involved and they have the power to make it happen”.

At 8 AM on Wednesday, May 6, 2021, about 60 citizens gathering at the City Center for the National Day of Prayer event. This year’s event, which was themed Life, Liberty, and Love, featured students from Heritage Fellowship Christian School and 8 local pastors and ministry leaders who provided specific prayers for our city and its citizens.
